This 4-day learning experience offers the opportunity to deepen your skills combining Neuro-Developmental Treatment and Dynamic Core for Kids. In keeping with these approaches, the emphasis will be on the practical application of the science of postural control, in-depth movement analysis, clinical reasoning and handling skills. Discussions regarding a systems-based model of postural control will support the progression in clinical reasoning. Targeted discussion and assessment of spinal alignment will be highlighted, as well as the dynamics of rib cage, pelvis, upper extremity function, and functional movement. Clinical reasoning discussions will also include conversations regarding adjuncts to treatment.
There will be a combination of lecture, handling skill labs, treatment demonstrations and daily treatment practicums with children.
Pre-requisites: Participants must have completed either:
- any Introduction to Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) course
OR
- Creating Connections: Introduction to Neuro-Developmental Treatment and Dynamic Core for Kids
Dynamic Core for Kids is an asset but not a prerequisite.
